Assessing the decarbonisation effect of household photovoltaic self-consumption

the combination of falling renewable technology costs, with high and rising electricity prices non-obstructive national regulations are making distributed generation increasingly attractive. In case photovoltaic (PV) systems, even domestic consumers find it profitable to self-produce part their demand, instead purchasing all energy from grid, which is changing current way obtaining consuming electricity. The purpose this work estimate decarbonisation effect in Iberian/Spanish market, produced by PV self-consumption, once new regulation, passed 2019, has removed previous regulatory barriers Spain.
